FABULOUS ANTIQUE FRENCH LOUIS XVI CANE CUSTOM DOUBLE BED c1890

This fabulous quality French antique cane double bed is in its 'as found' pale
cream painted finish which is now lightly distressed with age and has natural cane
panels which have been lightly dusted with white.
There is an old repair as shown to the canework but this does not
detract from the wonderful look of this now hard to find quality bed.
The headboard top has scrolls and a fabulous gilded ribonned bow crest.
The foot end has a gilded bow with swags of flowers. There are criss cross patterns
which have been gilded to the top of the footboard.
The canework in very good overall condition with double cane work to foot.
The bed frame is in superb condition strong and sturdy condition
with stylish and very good quality carving thoughout with only
minor knocks and bumps in keeping with its age.
The bed has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course.

Measurements and mattress options:
Will require a standard double 135cm x 190 mattress.
Alternatively custom mattress (143cm x 198cm long) which we can supply.
We can extend the bars for the bed to accommodate a kingsize mattress - please ask for a quote.
